So I just found out via my supermentor Cliff Cramp about dominance war...the biggest digital arts competition of its kind. I'm psyched! ANOTHER PROJECT ON THE MENU! WHOOU!! so truthfully I've got a TON more to post---but today my sleep deprivation caught up with me in the midst of my internship work for Dreammachine and projects for Cheryl's class. But Fernando--if you're readin this dude--this piece is all your fault--you got me thinkin about Gambit and Snake Eyes and suddenly I felt like comping a painting out of them..simply coz I've never done it before. Dang you for inspiring me. And thanks for doing so!

So its a little too early in the week--but Sunday morning I just had to quick sketch--(or is it quick paint?)--This. Not to sharp on the details yet--but once done I assure you it'll be worth the wait. Stay inspired everyone!

WEEKLY FRESH ONES: FANTASY CREATURES!!

So now we move on to my favorite genre...fantasy CREATURES! Blizzard---if you are seeing this---I'm waiting for my call up!! Hahah---no--but seriously tho...fantasy creatures are the best but the trick is to ground them with proper anatomy, gesture, a lot of technical things in the real world only pushed to the extreme.

So I was SUPPOSE to be working on OTHER relevant projects--but I couldn't shake this one out of my head. I'm starting to make some headway with painting just in Photoshop--but this will likely be turned over to Painter and vice versa. Both programs are so "cute" together...awww...--Ahem--anyway enuffadat---This is my take on the movie and I can't really remember the monster too distinctively so its fan art based on my take. And this is a QUICK sketch--and by quick as in 45 minuites...so its...SLOW QUICK?

WEEKLY FRESH ONES: It Happens to the Best of Us

So this is some lady with a gun on a horse. Notice anything weird? How about the lady is too big--horse too small--the back end anatomy on the horse is off and the legs on the front are too long while the length of the horses body must either be foreshortened with perspective or lengthened to view its profile more. Long story short--NO ONE'S PERFECT--and I've clearly got a LOT MORE ANIMAL ANATOMY STUDYING TO DO before this even makes it too paint.

So I decided to celebrate my grandmongus 25th year on earth by studying some of my favorite characters from the mouse house. Strictly fan art here, folks--I've got more sketches, but this is all that I have time to post this week. 100 thumbnails for Cheryl due on the 22nd and 2 paintings due the 25th for Ballistic! Aye--que paso---its too much insanity! I love it!

Hello everyone! Its been such a busy busy week juggling work, school, internship, studying software alongside anatomy, composition, and of course...perspective.... Ahh...so goes the life eh...
anyway, in between I try to get some quick sketches knocked out....I did this during a long red light on the way home from work while listening to The Wonders from "That Thing You Do" soundtrack. Happy tune that is.
